Dada was an artistic movement that began in Switzerland in reaction to world war one. Many people believed that it's nationalism had led to the beginning of the war. Dada was the first art movement which was able to take away the nature of beauty from the artwork and instead show a representation of the middle class and society's difficult questions. It came about in the early 20th century at Cabaret Voltaire and then moved to Berlin shortly after. Dada artists are most famous for their use of ready made objects which are everyday objects that can be used and presented as great artwork with not much input from the artist. However this was seen as a negative for the artists as people argued they lacked creativity and imagination which is very important in the art world.
